G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe is back in the stores again,
Telling kids that Might is Right
And war is without pain.
G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe, makes every friend a foe.
He says we’ll solve all problems
With a weapon and a blow.
Christmas will soon be here, with all its joys and fun,
There’s lots of gifts to buy, and no-one needs a gun.
Some kids may say they do—cause they’ve seen them on TV
But the violent play that they lead to we do not want to see!!
So—to TV ads for bombing pads,
And knives and guns and tanks.
To Power Rangers and their like,
Let’s simply say, “NO THANKS!”
We’ll buy our toys for girls and boys,
That last the whole year through.
And tell them what we want to say.
And that is “I LOVE YOU!”
So when we climb upstairs to fill stockings and their socks,
Let’s put in books and paints and lovely building blocks.
With skates, a Bike, A Ball—our message will be clear:
“PEACE ON EARTH, GOODWILL TO ALL,” today and through the year!
Though G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe, is back in the stores, again.
Telling kids that Might is Right and causing strife and pain,
Lef s take a vow, and tell him now’,
WE DO NOT WANT YOU HERE—AND
G.I. JOE, YOU’VE GOT TO GO—THIS IS YOUR FINAL YEAR!!!
